So under staff. Found them rude. Struggled to take a message. Found excuses all the time. And i was a visitor..no way would i ever go there... not happy at allMy patient today pressed the buzzer for assistance and was greeted by "whats the matter with you"... couldnt wipe there bottom and soiled there pants. ... wee was dropped onto there pants and didnt feel the need to contact family too bring in extra clothing...just disgraceful ...treat people with respect they dont want too be there but i guess they pay your wages... and no i will not contact eden people need to know how poorly your staff are.
My mother-in-law went in for rehabilitation for a broken hip and came out with a broken back thanks to a non-attentive nurse making her do an exercise that she couldn't do.

I have been admitted to Eden many times following joint replacement surgeries, and highly recommend the rehabilitation offered. The rehabilitation team are very well trained in their profession and work with the patients. Follow up physio has been very helpful in me as well. All staff are very professional in what they do.
We took Mum to Eden after she'd suffered a stroke (aged 87 years old) and we'd been told by the hospital neurologist that she would never sit up again. Mum suffers dementia, is legally blind and profoundly deaf. A hospital nurse referred to Eden Rehabilitation Centre during a casual conversation which led me to contact Eden to discuss Mum's eligibility for acceptance into a rehab programme. No one else made reference to the possibility that Mum's condition might improve through rehabilitation. In fact, the treating doctor at the local hospital recommended that we find a nursing home placement as he considered that Mum would not return home. Mum spent two weeks in the local private hospital. During this time, she showed some improvement in her condition. She'd been unable to raise her head, her left arm and left leg and she'd been unable to feed herself when she initally suffered the stroke. With the help of the hospital physios, by the end of week two, she had regained some movement in her limbs and, with much help and support, was able to walk on the walking frame rollator. Eden accepted Mum into a four-week programme. She was transferred by ambulance and settled into a very comfortable shared room (two persons) with ensuite. A week later, Mum was moved into her own private room with ensuite. The first thing I noticed on entering Eden was the abundance of staff. I was warmly greeted by the reception staff who directed me to Mum's room. The ensuing four weeks involved Mum's participation in one or two sessions per day of physiotherapy and occupational therapy - all of which was designed to address her particular needs. I stayed in Cooroy for the duration of Mum's treatment and was able to observe her daily progress as well as the care given by the staff of Eden. I cannot emphasis sufficiently how impressed I was with the professionalism, compassion, dedication and care espoused by every member of staff. After four weeks, I confidently brought Mum home in my car. By now, she could walk, with help, on her own wheelie-walker. Three and a half months after having suffered the stroke, Mum now walks independently on her wheelie-walker and sometimes walks short distances, within the house, on her own, unassisted. The total cost of Mum's ambulance transport and her accommodation and therapy at Eden was covered by Mum's Private Health Insurance. The only cost incurred on her behalf was $75 for medication and compression stockings. Mum is still recovering and improving on a daily basis. Had Doctor ? had his way, she would be languishing in a nursing home... a lost cause.I recommend Eden Rehabilitation Centre with every confidence, given the improvement in my mother's health despite her advanced age and incumbent disabilities.
